There is a tiny little village at the feet of the Mecsek in one of the valleys of the picturesque Hegyhát, receiving his name after the beech forest earlier towering over it. The emperor donated Imperial General Antal Puchner the Bikal estate made up of three villages in 1841. The building was built in 1849 in the neo-classicist style. The Palace obtained its late historical looks during the renovations which had been completed by 1889.

There is an experience bath with wellness services, an exclusive restaurant with wine tresor, a sport centre with squash, bowling, ping-pong, darts, billiards and drink bar, a 6 hectares park with an open-air pool, grill terrace and playground in a quiet, little village to serve our guests. Accommodation is provided in the comfortably and exclusively furnished castle rooms that take You back to the period of time, in the modern bath house, in the apartment houses or in the new French style manor house.

The Puchner Castle Hotel is located in the South of Trans-Danubia 50 kms from Pécs at the feet of Mountain Mecsek, in the middle of a sweet little village called Bikal. The hotel is surrounded by a 6 hectares landscaped area with protoriginal trees. In the park there is a French and Moroccan style Spa house, an open-air pool, a medieval-style sport-centre, a grill-terrace, a conference-centre and three apartment houses.
